The Pumpkin Patch: 2011 Style

I haven't updated my little blog in about, oh....TWO years, LOL so I will have to dig out my photo archives and upload the Pumpkin Patch from 2010.  The pictures were cute but most were taken from behind Genni as she ran from one pumpkin to the next and it's mostly me chasing her around on the hunt for the best pumpkin to be found.

This was our best year at the patch yet, she has wanted to get in the bouncy house they have since she was 1 year and 10 months, but has never been confident enough to do so w/ all the other big kids who do get a little pushy when bouncing.  This year she lucked out and was one of the bigger kids when we were there so didn't have to deal w/ 10 year olds rough-housing in the bouncers and she jumped and had a ball.

Baby Pool Fun

Genni wanted to "swim" this weekend so we got a new baby pool, pink with Disney "princess" Cinderella on the bottom - Genni picked it out herself (to my delight it was the smallest and least expensive!!).  She had a lot of fun!

Early Morning Playground Fun

This weekend was beautiful - we spent practically all of Saturday and Sunday outdoors (and I am not even an ouside person!!) b/c Genni loves to be outside.  Early Saturday morning we went to Rogers Park for some playgound fun. 

She has really improved on her climbing skills since the last time we were there in the fall.

November 2009

Mary and Jim (Mimi and Big Jim) have been creating some paths  in their backyard.  Genni took me exploring yesterday evening on an incomplete path all the way on the back edge of the property.  How I have an outdoor crazy child, I have no idea. I am not all that crazy about the outside....But during the fall and winter and less hot/humid spring days, I can handle it somewhat.  Genni has so much fun too.
